Built in 1947, Martinsville Speedway is the only track on the NASCAR calendar that has hosted a NASCAR race every year since the series began. Martinsville Speedway is a .526 mile oval, and is the shortest track NASCAR runs at. However, the track’s unique, paperclip shape allows for some of the closest short track racing all year. In a recent poll, Martinsville was named NASCAR’s greatest bargain, as well as the track with the best views from any of its 63,000 seats.
