Colene Evans-Allen

Most racing fans have seen his work.  From IndyCar to the American LeMans Series, and Trophy Truck racing to the BlancPain Endurance Series in Europe, his work graces websites, hero cards, T-shirts, race car liveries, and the marketing plans of a variety and multitude of drivers and race teams.

A retired open-wheel racer, the owner and head designer of Manifest Group may no longer be driving a race car, but he’s driving the image and marketing of motorsport from behind a computer with imagination, skill, and first-hand knowledge of racing.  Aaron Justus, the owner and head designer of Manifest Group, is visible on everything from drivers’ helmets to sponsorship proposals.

Aaron started racing go-karts in 1981 and moved up to single-seater Formula Cars in 1995.  He funded his racing efforts by doing design work for his fellow competitors and teams in the paddock.  At a karting event in 1986, he met and befriended the late Greg Moore.  Moore introduced Aaron to his team owner Gerry Forsythe, and Forsythe signed Aaron for a partial season in US F2000’s in 1999.  Aaron’s performance during that season inspired Forsythe to sign Aaron back on for the 2000 US F2000 full season.  Aaron rewarded Forsythe’s team with the National Championship that year.  Considering that some of Aaron’s contemporaries during those seasons included the late Dan Wheldon, Guy Cosmo, and Marc-Antoine Camirand, Aaron won his Championship during one of the most competitive seasons in the history of the US F2000 Series.  After a two year sabbatical, Aaron would return to racing part-time driving in Formula Atlantics in 2002 and 2003 with RuSport before retiring to run Manifest Group.

Aaron and Manifest Group bring a unique perspective to image and marketing in motorsport.  Having been a driver struggling to find funding and having been the driver representing a team and sponsor, Aaron brings that experience and knowledge to the work he does for his clients.  Manifest Group provides a variety of services including design, identity, interactive, content creation, communication, consulting, and brand development.  Manifest’s client list includes T-Force Motorsports, Red Bull Racing, CORE Autosport, Emotive, USF1, the American LeMans Series, Richard Petty Motorsports,  the Grand Prix of America, Younessi Racing, and driver A.J. Allmendinger.

Based out of California, Aaron and Manifest Group have built a reputation for delivering results and creating eye catching brands, images, liveries, and collateral for motorsports clients.  The next time you watch an American LeMans Series race and see the CORE Autosport cars on track, you’ll know you’re looking at the work of Manifest Group and Aaron Justus.  From the cockpit of a Formula Atlantic car to the race car livery of a McLaren in the BlancPain Endurance Series, Aaron Justus’ work is moving at great speed, even if he’s no longer behind the wheel of a race car.

Manifest owner and head designer Aaron Justus joins the Pit Crew April 24, 2013 on In The Pits Racing Radio to talk about the founding of Manifest Group and the keys to motorsport marketing.
